Closing A Chapter

Tomorrow at 1 pm we will close a chapter in our lives.  Tomorrow at 1:30 pm, we will no longer own a house...our home...no more.  Most of our things are in storage in three different places. I have found myself rather melancholy during this process often focusing on what we (read I) don't have right now...my bed to sleep in, walls to hang pictures on, separate rooms for my kids, room to spread out, space for "me", our dishes, etc.  And then I am reminded of what we do have: a wonderful father-in-law who is letting us stay with him during all of this process, a bed to sleep in, clothes to wear (mine are getting smaller :) ) and so many more things.

And then my friends remind me:

1.  "It all works out in the end. If it hasn't worked out yet, it's not the end." -Max Lucado

2.  Think you have stress? Read Elijah's story in 1 Kings 17-19. Even the faithful get worn out while trusting and obeying God. The remedy? Back to basics. Angel RX = food and alot of sleep.
3.  If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it. He sends you flowers every spring, and a sunrise every morning. Face it friend.... He's crazy about you! -Max Lucado

4.  This world is not my home

So, we don't have it so bad.  My dear husband said it this way, "I would take our current situation any day of the year rather than one of our kids having cancer."  ~WOW~  Talk about perspective.

And, so...I will focus on the positive.  I will focus on finding our next home, our new home.  I will give thanks for what we have and for the joy of having life, for my kids and my husband.  I will give thanks.

So, goodbye to that place on Valhalla that holds so many special memories.  I pray you provide wonderful memories for your new owners and maybe someday, we will meet them.

On to the next chapter in the Craig Characters...one full of hope and promise of a new future!  I can hardly wait!!!!
