Well, I've finally manage to put together a new look for the blog. I'm hoping to organize some pictures in the near future and get some comparison pictures on here of the kids, but until I do, you'll just have to make so with some stories.
Quick update on our family:
Hershel managed to pull off a surprise party for Julie's birthday in December. We had a great time and I was blessed by so many who took time out of the busy holiday season to celebrate.
Mia has been sick the last week with the flu. I am hoping we are on the downhill slope. It broke my heart last night when she started crying because she couldn't hug and kiss her brother good night. They are really missing each other. What can I say? I am trying to keep the germs at bay. Her latest epiphany is "I miss myself. When I'm sick, I just don't have myself" Out of the mouths of babes...
Simon continues to make all of us laugh, following in his daddy's footsteps. His latest antic is to schooch (is that a word) down on his back and active his Lil Zoomers Speedway with his feet. He will do this and then grin. Little bugger know exactly what he is doing. I never tire of his smiles for us. His face lights up when he sees Mia walk in the room. I could say the same of myself and his daddy. I truly love that boy's smiles and laughs!
Our house is now on the market and we are praying for the right buyer and a quick sale. On another note, there are three families that will be leaving San Antonio in the next few months. We are saddened by their move, but know God has great things in store for them and are excited for the opportunites that lie ahead in their lives. Fortunately, we will be able to keep in touch via Facebook and email. Technology is indeed wonderful.
Simon is stirring, so I must close this post and tend to him.
Blessings to all,
Julie
