Names

For sometime now we've been searching for that perfect name for our little guy, but to no avail thus far.  So, for now we are sticking with Waxy Beetle.  Many have asked for the story of the name, so here goes...

When we didn't know the gender of our little one, we asked Mia what she thought would be some good names.  Her suggestions were Laura or Mary if it was a girl (she is an AVID fan of Little House on the Prairie books) or Waxy Beetle if it was a boy.  I asked her where she came up with WB and this is her story

"One day I was playing outside and I met a beetle.  He was very nice to me and talked to me.  He told me his name was Waxy and I thought that was prettty cool, so I thought Waxy Beetle would be a good boy's name."

Creative.  Imaginative.  And, I must say, having a "fun" nickname has created an amazingly endearing bond with our little "bug". 

So, while we are no closer to a real name...we will continue to go with Waxy for now, or WB or Waxy B or Waxy Beetle or Beetle bug.  We know God created and is still working on this little guy and that's good enough for us...name or not.

And for those of you counting down the days (as if there are SO many readers of this blog), the count is 28 days til he makes his scheduled appearance (unless he has a mind of his own and decides to come sooner, in which case, he needs to wait until after July 4 so his Daddy will be home from camp).
