Chosen

Yesterday we (Hershel, Mia and I) went for my 16 week doctor visit.  I absolutely love my OB.  She has the most amazing bedside manner and is wonderful with Mia (and Hershel).  We never feel rushed and well, she is just GREAT!!!!

After having lost 2 babies, I've been a little more anxious about this pregnancy-understandably so, I think and have basically lived month to month, while doing my best to trust in God, to hear the boom-boom of my little one's heart beat.  My doctor understands this and let me listen as long as I wanted yesterday.  I had her stop when I started crying, knowing that once again God had given me peace in my heart. 

I am so thankful for all of my friends and family that have been praying for this baby and for all of their encouragaing words.  One friend in particular wrote in a note, "You were chosen for this and I am so excited."  Those words touched me the first time I read them and continue to do so.  I read the card over and over again reminding myself that God has indeed chosen us for this baby.

That was pretty much it for the visit.  Heart beat, tears, hugs and lots of love.

Our next appointment is February 18th for an ultrasound.  We are very much looking forward to finding out if we will be having a "Mary" or a "Waxy Beetle" (Mia's name choices).  Either way, we will love this baby.  We're just praying for healthy and will continue to remember, we are chosen.
