Family Visit

This weekend we headed to Lufkin for big family Christmas #2.  It has been so great to have everyone together for the first time in a few years.  Aunt Evelyn was even here.  We have had a wonderful time, even if it is a bit louder than I am used to on a regular basis.

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful in-law family.  My sil and bil have amazing hearts and, well....I just am really thankful for them.

We were especially glad to have Nate with us this year, especially after he had been so sick at Christmas time.  His healing is truly a miracle.

I love our nieces and nephew.  They all play with Mia so well and she dearly loves playing with "her cousins".

My wonderful mother-in-law is the best I could ask for.  She loves me like her own and adores my daughter.  She constantly tells Hershel and I to take care of each other...words we truly try to take to heart.

My father-in-law is pretty amazing, too.

Oh, and Aunt Evelyn...we have had more fun picking on her and teasing her.  I think all of the boys find special enjoyment in hearing her scream at their antics.

We have had a wonderful weekend of fun, games and LOTS of eating.  I'm really hoping I won't have gained another 5 pounds this past month like I did last month, but we'll find out on Wednesday when we head to the doctor to hear the heartbeat again.

On another note, I am the proud recipient of  a new hairstyle and some color.  No more gray, and it was really getting bad.  Turns out I will someday have a skunk stripe at the front.  Maybe I'll keep coloring it until I"m mostly gray and then go blonde.  Sounds like a good plan right now, anyway.

Did I mention the food?  Mexican goulash, eggs, bacon, toast, frito pie, chicken jalapeno enchiladas, cheesecakes (2 kinds), lots of cookies, cherry chip pancakes and sausage balls.  Guess lunch will be leftovers today.  The Craig family definitely has its share of good cooks.

I guess that's it for now.  I can say that with a baby on the way, I am contemplating changing the name of the blog.  Something more family oriented is what I'm thinking...guess we'll see what happens!
